How to style your faux flowers

A few simple adjustments make all the difference. Discover how we shape and arrange our faux stems for a beautifully natural finish.

How to style your faux flowers

Don’t worry if your flowers don’t look quite like our photographs when you first take them out of the box — they’re not meant to just be popped straight into a vase.

Your flowers are carefully packed for their journey, so the stems, foliage and flower heads will naturally be more compact when they arrive. A few minutes spent opening them out, shaping the stems and positioning each flower will completely transform your arrangement.

The difference really is in the styling.

1. Open them out
Gently separate the leaves, branches and flower heads that have become compressed during transit. Our stems are designed to be shaped, so don't be afraid to move them.

2. Give them some shape
Gently bend and curve the stems and turn individual flower heads in different directions. Perfectly straight stems rarely look natural.

3. Adjust the height
Before cutting a stem, try bending the bottom inside your vase. This lets you find the right height while keeping the stem intact to use in another vase later.

4. Keep it perfectly imperfect
Vary the height, angle and direction of your flowers. Let some sit higher and others fall towards the edge of the vase. A slightly irregular arrangement will always feel more natural.

5. Stand back
Once you've finished, take a few steps back and look at the overall shape. Make those final little adjustments until the arrangement feels balanced, relaxed and natural.
